she dipped her hand into clear water and waited

all of the sudden a fish lifted its head and kissed her finger

another fish swam over

and another

and another

and she smiled as they let her glide her hand over their scales 

it started to rain

she looked up 

and as she did

a raindrop bounced into her eye and she blinked

and stood up

she put the hood of her jacket over her head

and then she walked along the green path home
