the spaces in between

cause no rattle

no, the soft tissue wrapped

strong yet pliable

the rhythmic pulse

and a quiet whimper

more of a strained wheeze

though this sound is not typical

as the whimper fades away

a hum emerges matching the sound of horizons

and deep forest spaces

and places considered sacred
